Introducing
Ruth Fukumoto, CPA, CA, BBA

Starting my accounting career helping my dad at his bookkeeping and tax business, I completed my BBA with a specialty in Accounting at Okanagan College. I articled at a large Canadian accounting firm in Kelowna, BC, worked as a controller for a group of companies in the construction and hospitality industry, and then returned to public practice at a small boutique firm. I opened my own practice in 2020, I have diverse experience having supported a broad range of accounting clients for over 10 years. My expertise serves to help my clients maximize their wealth, understand their financial statements/position, and navigate toward their goals.

Born and raised in the small town of Salmon Arm, I have always appreciated that trust and relationships are everything. I offer my clients honesty, integrity, and the service standard that they will be cared for and understood. In my free time, I enjoy all that the Okanagan has to offer: yoga, hiking, snowshoeing and relaxing on our beautiful beaches with my family and friends.

How May I Help You?

Peace of mind,
& the tools to grow your business your way.

I’ve known Ruth personally for over 15 years and she has recently begun assisting me with all my tax needs. I can’t say enough good things about Ruth and RDF CPA. Ruth is one of the best accountants I have worked with and always goes the extra mile for her clients.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, Value

I found Ruth from her ad on Castanet. I’m so glad I did. She was very thorough with my taxes and found issues that my previous provider had done. She is very personable and the service was quick and painless. She took the time to explain everything to me in a way that I could understand everything. I would and will recommend Ruth to anyone who is looking for a professional and personable approach for Tax Preparation. Thank you so much Ruth!

The Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA) repayment deadline has been extended.

On January 12, 2022 the Department of Finance announced that the repayment deadline for CEBA loans to qualify for partial loan forgiveness is being extended from December 31, 2022, to December 31, 2023, for all eligible borrowers in good standing.

This extension is intended to provide greater repayment flexibility to small businesses as many are facing continued challenges due to the pandemic.

Outstanding loans would subsequently convert to two-year term loans with interest of 5 per cent per annum commencing on January 1, 2024, with the loans fully due by December 31, 2025.
